Verified Reviewer |I was lied to, deceived and no one from corporate has returned my call regarding my refund
I met with Michelle in the Houston office. She did not ask me if I had any scalp issues, sensitivity, etc.
She sold me on a cap but sold me a different brand and overcharged me for it. I never heard back from corporate about my complaint. My refund and release agreement was short over $2000. I dont suffer hair loss.
I told her my hairis messed up from hair extensions. She sold me something I did not need just for the commission. The cap she sold me has a 30 day return on line. The Director of sales said she woyld swap the cap out fir a more expensive cap.
I did not get copies of any documents.
I told her I could not see the documents on my phone and was not offered a hard copy. Tge Hair Club has you sign via docusign in there office on your phone so they can lie to you about what you are signing.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. The company took no action to solve my issue.
The only reason I got a refund was because the State court system ordered it. Hairclub failed to show up for the court date. When they found out the judge ruled against them, they launched a full campaign against me filing multiple motions with the court which included false statements I was able to disprove with email and phone records.
They offered no apology whatsoever. I'm so thankful for the justice system!
It has been weeks since the court ordered a refund, yet HairClub continues to withhold payment.
The reason I sued HairClub was because they told me they could match the density and color of my natural hair with their XStrands+ product/service. 4 months after signing the contract, all I ended up with was 3 very poor quality and completely age-inappropriate toupees. Im a nearly 60-year-old man. The toupees made me look like a 25-year-old woman with a 60-year-old man face and a teenagers luxurious head of hair.
When I appealed to the stylist for help, she scolded me over the telephone.
I told her I didnt look like myself, but I kind of looked like my sibling. She responded, At least you look related !!!. When I appealed to the manager for help, she simply didnt return my telephone calls or respond to emails. When I appealed to the corporate member care staff, they recorded a video call of my situation and told me theyd call me back.
They then went silent.
30 days later, I sued and WON!!! I completely understand the challenges of hair loss. I would implore any prospective or existing client to find another company or another solution.
If you exercise or sweat, the toupee will detach from your head in as short as a week. HairClubs solutions are extremely expensive, and you will not get the product or the service they advertise.

My name is Viviana Ochoa. I just finished my treatment with Hair Club and I didn't have any good results.
They assured me that the treatment gave very good results, which I did not have.
In addition, they said that they gave me a review every three months of how I was working, which they always told me was working, the products caused a bad reaction on my scalp, and they gave me another one which was totally different and had nothing to do with it, that is to say, They changed a minoxidil for an argan oil. And one of the stylists told me she was ungrateful for not being satisfied, which I think is not correct.

Poor customer service
New client. Walked into Independence, OH location and the front desk lady was in a heated argument with a client on the phone and it was unprofessional from the start.
I was placed in a room and set up for a ZOOM meeting ( not even given a face-to-face, human contact ) in addition, the lady on the ZOOM meeting was putting me on hold to contact the ladies at the front desk; which was 10' from my room but they did not direct communication
The more questions I asked, the more the employees at the desk became irritated.
They were aggressive for payment in full and had no samples of the Xtrands Plus to view and their computers where down and could not print a receipt but just wanted to take my payment regardless.
I left there and did not pay; thank goodness. I came home and found many clients often do not have a safe, comforting, transaction with Hair Club.

Stay far away from hair club for woman
I went into this place to talk about hair transplants because my hair was thinning in the front. Some how things got turned around and now I was being talked into this so called one by one weaving process which gets integrated into you own hair. This process is nothing more than a hair piece glued to your own hair.
Not once was a hair piece mentioned, not even after my persistent questioning because I could not understand how this weaving was going to happen. It was on for 1 week before I had to have it removed. While removing this piece they also pull out a good amount of hair whit it. My scalp was red and sore for 4 days after.
The piece was not only much darker than my own hair but it was also course textured, wavy, my hair is strait, and looked like a wig. It was also too thick and heavy because I had too much of my own hair underneath. The stylist herself told me that they don't usually do this to woman that have as much hair as I have and that's why it was too heavy. They usually shave the persons head.
Then they start talking me into this ext hair treatments, they gave me this laser comb telling me that it was $85.00,when I called again to try to get a refund I was told that this comb was $775.00 and that all of these things that their trying to do to help me is because they're trying to give me something for my $2550.
When I mentioned that their business was deceiving and verged on fraud. I was told that this is a professional company that used their own terminology and that was why the word hair piece was never mentioned. They also never mentioned that their hair transplant facility is in Chicago. So you had to travel there and spend the night.
I have a child and he can not be left on his own for long.
This company is a total farce, and I am going to do all I can to let as many people as possible know about them and their lies.
So I will now write a letter to the CEO of the company, to the BBB, and to the MA attorney General's office.
I had one and new that nothing was going to come from this
My 10 year old daughter has down syndrome. Its common to have alopecia usually in boys but when my daughter turned 3 years old she started losing all her hair. All of her hair is gone.
When she noticed her hair was gone I researched and saw hair club for kids. My daughter was a little scared but she picked out a color and did her measurements.
We did this in the beginning of January and now its August 16th! They have on their website it will take 8 to 12 weeks. My daughter asks me every day "mommy hair " it breaks my heart in tiny pieces. I called and was told her hair was in China and they didn't know and my husband called and he also was given the run around.
Something about the color??? As I type this i am crying so so so hard. You let down a little innocent girl. It's hard already that she doesn't have hair but all the lies.
My husband who has patience gave up calling. Why?
It's horrible and it's a disappointment. Unbelievable

Frustration
I missed my appointment back in September and the next available appointment is November 22 at 5:30 in the evening. Everything about this chapter of HC has been disappointing for a long time, the "manager is doing 4 different jobs so nothing is going well.
After being a client for 14 years, there are still no notes on what I use and what system seems to work regarding securing my system. No products (that I use are kept in stock. I cannot phone the local store as the system sends you to voice mail which then states the voice mail is full and can not receive any messages, (this has been a problem for 5 months).
I am a doctor and do not wish to look ragged for months as a time. Can someone help out?

My daughter, hasnt had new hair since March of 2021. The reasons for the delay in the beginning made sense (pandemic) but then its as if we were forgotten and got the runaround every time I followed up.
There has been frequent turnaround at this office resulting in this chaos, that I dont know who to talk to anymore or who to believe. Each person is just as convincing that they are on top of this but no one follows through or follows up. We cant afford expensive wigs and the 1 year old wig is practically dreadlocks. Surely the service isnt this terrible and and this is just me slipping through the cracks due to new employees coming and going.
The service prior used to be outstanding and it breaks my heart that this affects my child. Thanks for reading.

I had an appointment for a 2nd hair treatment but when I went in they said no I didn't have an appointment, but they would squeeze me in. which they did.
It seemed like I was rushed through. At one point after the stylist put conditioner in my hair, she then put a device with several heat lamps facing the back of my head and said ok well leave this on for 10mins I'll be back well after 20mins the heat was unbearable, so I turned around and turned off the lamp waited another several minutes for the stylist to return. The next appointment I made was cancelled by them because the stylist was promoted and there was no replacement
The stylist said they will do two treatments next month, but they will have someone to color my hair before I leave for vacation but once again that appointment was canceled. I now have to find a salon that can do my hair color.
This has caused me so much stress, and I have Parkinson's disease and stress causes me more problems! I am so stressed out now, and I don't trust the Hair Club!
I may to talk to an attorney to see what to do to get out of this nightmare!!!!!!!!!!
Also - the first treatment I was given a shampoo and conditioner that contains Sulfate (this chemical is known to damage your hair follicles) at my next appointment I pointed this out to the stylist and without any hesitation or explanation she gave me another product that did not contain sulfates. I can not trust this company any longer.

I see the hype on TV so I always want to know what the real story is from people who have used the product. This site saves me a lot of money because I don't fall prey to infomercials.

Hair Club in Charlotte NC managers are liars. They need to be trained in customers service skills.
They get mad when they are told by the client that their own hair is being pulled out by the glue. The quality of the hair is bad. You are told the hair that will be placed on your head will not look like a wig. It looks worst than a wig.
The managers do not offer free treatments or free products to help your hair grow back. their main concerns is the money that they are making off their clients.
The Charlotte NC office had only two stylist that knew what they was doing. The others just rushes to pull your hair out while removing the wig.
I love it when people tell the truth!!
